Long, long ago, there was a forest called ForForet.

No one there ever hurried. Every living thing moved at its own pace.

The forest was home to Moira, the gentle mother moss who stayed close by,

and Faya, a lively little flame full of energy.

They treasured each other more than anyone else.

But Faya was still learning how to handle his feelings. As he ran, one of his sparks

landed on a tree-stump friend. At the startled cry of "Ouch!", Faya stopped in surprise.

"Faya, you should have been more careful!"

At Moira's words, Faya's heart sank.

Afraid they might get hurt, Faya's friends kept avoiding him and telling him to be careful.

"I didn't do it on purpose..." His hurt turned into frustration, and then into anger toward his friends.

When all the feelings he could no longer hold burst out at once, Faya's flames grew beyond control,

until they became a raging fire that swept across ForForet.

After the flames had passed, ForForet fell completely still.

One night, little Moss met Moira in a dream.

Moira held little Moss close and spoke gently.

"Please take care of ForForet. It is up to you now."

That night, a brilliant beam of light fell from the sky into the heart of the forest.

Lumi the firefly watched it with wide, astonished eyes.

Inside the shard of glass, Moss lay asleep, wrapped tightly and safely within.

"If we gather the scattered shards and restore the forest, ForForet will come back to life."
